Nitin Doshi

Dr. Nitin Doshi has been a leading entrepreneur and investor in several businesses spanning diverse industries over the past 30 years. His experience, vision and understanding have helped guide several management teams build successful businesses and make crucial strategic decisions. He co-founded and spearheaded the growth of Doshi Diagnostic Imaging Services, a diagnostic radiology company that grew into the 3rd largest chain of privately owned medical imaging centers in the US.  He  was instrumental in driving several important transactions for this business including (i) a 1996 recapitalization whereby Primecare International, a California based physician practice management company acquired a controlling interest with Dr. Doshi remaining as CEO, (ii) a 2000 transaction whereby the Doshi family acquired the business again, (iii) 2002 and 2003 expansion by virtue of distressed acquisitions of multiple imaging centers in the Florida market, (iii) a 2005 recapitalization lead by Evercore Partners private equity and  (iv) the re-acquisition of the business by the Doshi family in mid-2012. Dr. Doshi, through his family office, Doshi Capital Partners, has invested in companies operating in many industries including real estate, specialty finance, chemical, technology and health care. Among these ventures, Dr. Doshi negotiated and was the primary investor in a 2005 transaction that formed Dome Equities (previously known as NDC Capital), a leading US multi-family real estate private equity business. Since inception Dome and its predecessor have completed 40+ transactions aggregating over $1b in value. Doshi Capital also maintains a diversified portfolio of hedge fund and private equity fund investments. Dr. Doshi obtained his Bachelor of Dental Science degree in 1971 from the University of Bombay in India. After completing two years at New York University in 1975, he received his dental license in the State of New York. Dr. Doshi spent several years as a practicing dentist with multiple offices in the New York City market before co-founding Doshi Diagnostic in the mid 1980s.
